LEGO Future Cities - LEGO Future Cities In this class, students explore how futurists imagine cities might look and function a century from now. Through age-appropriate discussions and examples, kids consider topics such as smart homes, transportation, technology, and how people might live and work in the future. Instructors introduce basic ideas from social studies, engineering, and design to help students think about how communities evolve over time. Students then bring those ideas to life by designing and building their own futuristic city elements using LEGO bricks. They create homes, vehicles, and community spaces while thinking about how their designs meet the needs of future residents. Guided by Right Brain Curriculum instructors, kids collaborate, share ideas, and learn how creativity, planning, and problem-solving come together when imagining the cities of tomorrow.Grades: 1-4

Kids' Test Kitchen Summer - Kids' Test Kitchen Summer Kid's Test Kitchen is on a mission to get eaters of all ages and abilities, cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients! We are redefining kid food! Each class presents students with opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish. Class closes with opportunity to taste the result of their hard work. Students receive a printed recipe card and the focal ingredient - or a sample of the finished dish - so they can show off what they learned!Even the most reluctant eaters enjoy Kids’ Test Kitchen, where participation is encouraged, and the choice to taste is always one’s own.Kids have food allergies, but they shouldn’t miss out on the fun. We know allergies and can work around them, making sure that everyone is having fun and staying safe. *Please clearly disclose all food allergies and/or dietary restrictions upon registration.Grades: 1-5Instructor: Kid's Test KitchenAbout Our Instructor:Kids Test Kitchen was born in the Spring of 2013. Operating under a different name, we started with a class or two through the Reading Public Schools, and then Lynnfield Community Schools. The response was surprisingly positive. Kids were eating new foods, parents were psyched, and session hosts wanted more! Early in 2016, we formed an LLC and updated the name to Kids’ Test Kitchen. We gathered talented individuals to facilitate Kids’ Test Kitchen classes and have added to our client list. Currently, Kids’ Test Kitchen is building a reputation in more than 65 schools and recreation departments.

This is a low competitive atmosphere where children are introduced to track & field skills and get the opportunity to run and play games. Ribbons will be distributed to all participants each evening. Some things to remember: - NO CROCS ALLOWED - your child will not be allowed to participate in the activities if they are not wearing the correct footwear. Sneakers/closed toe shoes are best. - Groups are randomly assigned. We will not be able to change the groups, so children can be with their friends. Circuit Makers 101 - Circuit Makers 101 Let’s get creative with electricity. In this junior hands-on electronics class, students will gain experience with creating their own electronics; designing custom light-up greeting cards, electric games, mazes, and even musical instruments. Each class day consists of a circuitry lesson and a hands-on electronics project, using components like lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors. Each class gives participants the chance to design a hands on project with the guidance of a skilled Circuit Lab instructor.Grades: 1-3 Instructor: Circuit LabAbout Our Instructor:Circuit Lab is a small educational company operating in the Boston area, founded in 2015. Our mission is to get kids excited about computers and electronics, and to train them in what we believe to be the most useful of modern-day skills. Our team of educators has broad experience teaching kids about engineering and technology, and we are passionate about sharing our message with the world.
