After his postgraduate year at Phillips Exeter Academy in 2018, he enrolled in UMass Lowell’s music studies program and began his career in music education. His teaching experience has consisted of private lessons for all ages, exam preparation, group piano classes, rock ensemble coaching, choir directing, theory tutoring and classroom instruction.    Over the course of his career, Danny has been the go-to pianist for several theater productions and churches in the Greater Boston area. While pursuing his degree, he took a two year pandemic-related hiatus where he expanded his lesson roster to over 40 students and began working with Newton Public Schools, playing piano and providing instructional assistance for seven choirs in the district. Since resuming his academics, he has continued to work with the award-winning choirs at Day Middle School, and he has recently stepped into the role of Music Director for Hawkapella, UML’s longest standing acapella group.    Danny has a very easygoing personality, and he prioritizes developing a love of music that keeps students motivated. In addition to a structured curriculum based around well known lesson books, he encourages students to learn any song they like, adapting it to their precise skill level. He often incorporates games and activities to reinforce concepts and prevent burnout. Lastly, he makes sure to give students a chance to express themselves through compositional and improvisational (jam) sessions. Since then he also became a Zumba Toning, Zumba Kids, Strong Nation (HIIT), RYT 200 yoga, and Pound Fit Instructor. When he is not at school or teaching, Aaron likes to watch tv, play video games, hang out with friends, hike, travel, and crochet. As a group exercise instructor, he believes that everyone should try a group exercise class and that one class will not be enough.The atmosphere, community, instructor, and attitude will make all the difference. So keep trying new classes until you find the right fit! His goal is to make sure you are moving and having fun! Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure,and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish. Class closes with an opportunity totaste the result of their hard work. Umbria sits right below Tuscany and is the birthplace of some of the most famous Italian dishes.  Class will start with an Antipasto with Italian Stuffed Eggplant and Proscuitto Wrapped Asparagus.  For the main dish, a hand-rolled Pici Pasta with a Classic Umbrian Pork Ragu Sauce, and finish with a puff pastry filled with pears and fig.  Leave class with these unique recipes from this very popular region of Italy. As a group exercise instructor, he believes that everyone should try a group exercise class and that one class will not be enough.The atmosphere, community, instructor, and attitude will make all the difference. Beginners Class:This fun, 4-week drawing course will help the beginning artist take their stick figures to a new level.  Foundation principles will be taught so that by the end of this course, students will have the confidence they need to draw what inspires them.  Topics Include:  drawing tools, lines & Form, Values, Composition, Contours, Ellipses and Perspective.Intermediate Class:The intermediate class builds on what you learned in the beginners class.  It is designed to take the intermediate student to the next phase in their artistic development. After his postgraduate year at Phillips Exeter Academy in 2018, he enrolled in UMass Lowell’s music studies program and began his career in music education. His teaching experience has consisted of private lessons for all ages, exam preparation, group piano classes, rock ensemble coaching, choir directing, theory tutoring and classroom instruction.    Over the course of his career, Danny has been the go-to pianist for several theater productions and churches in the Greater Boston area. While pursuing his degree, he took a two year pandemic-related hiatus where he expanded his lesson roster to over 40 students and began working with Newton Public Schools, playing piano and providing instructional assistance for seven choirs in the district. Since resuming his academics, he has continued to work with the award-winning choirs at Day Middle School, and he has recently stepped into the role of Music Director for Hawkapella, UML’s longest standing acapella group.    Danny has a very easygoing personality, and he prioritizes developing a love of music that keeps students motivated. In addition to a structured curriculum based around well known lesson books, he encourages students to learn any song they like, adapting it to their precise skill level. He often incorporates games and activities to reinforce concepts and prevent burnout. When he is not at school or teaching, Aaron likes to watch tv, play video games, hang out with friends, hike, travel, and crochet. As a group exercise instructor, he believes that everyone should try a group exercise class and that one class will not be enough.The atmosphere, community, instructor, and attitude will make all the difference. So keep trying new classes until you find the right fit! His goal is to make sure you are moving and having fun! This class is slow paced and restorative, taking students through a series of poses that encourage mindfulness of the body and attention to breath. Learn a new way to express yourself in this fun painting class.  You will be diving into color theory and how different colors can evoke positive feelings and emotions.  Every week you will choose different color combinations and themes such as abstract objects, animals, nature, and more.  We'll be exploring different mediums like acrylics, water colors, paint pens and more.  $25 supply fee will be paid to the instructor at the beginning of class for all of the supplies needed including your own personal art bag.Instructor:  Jalix DelacruzAbout Our Instructor:Jalix Delacruz is a Lowell based artist. She has been practicing professionally for 6 years all over the US. Jalix loves painting murals and canvases of people who reflect her community through bright colors and expressions. She has painted and assisted on some amazing murals in Lowell, Colorado Springs and Atlanta. Jalix has held her own interactive solo shows over the years to give viewers a chance to explore themselves through art. She is a part of the Brush Art Gallery & Studio collective, where you can visit her and view some of the pieces she is currently working on.

Today’s world is a very busy one, often leaving us feeling overwhelmed, overworked, and not focusing on our own needs. Courtney’s classes will teach you the importance of self-care, while leaving you feeling deeply stretched and with increased strength both mentally and physically. In this class you will explore the use of intermediate camera controls such as metering (spot, matrix, center weight), exposure and exposure compensation, ISO, aperture and shutter priority. You will take an in-depth look at manual focus and its use, fill flash and flash modes, as well as controlling motion, composition, and many other intermediate and advanced techniques.You should be familiar with your camera (also, bring your camera manual to class) and be ready for some in-depth photographic training.About our Instructor:Steve McGrath is an accomplished, passionate, and devoted professional photographer with over 30 years’ experience.  Steven studied photography at the New York Institute of Photography, and has earned recognition via several achievement awards, has been published in text books and other publications, and mentors many photography enthusiasts and novices through their journey of improving their skills and abilities to capture the beauty of life.

After his postgraduate year at Phillips Exeter Academy in 2018, he enrolled in UMass Lowell’s music studies program and began his career in music education. His teaching experience has consisted of private lessons for all ages, exam preparation, group piano classes, rock ensemble coaching, choir directing, theory tutoring and classroom instruction.    Over the course of his career, Danny has been the go-to pianist for several theater productions and churches in the Greater Boston area. While pursuing his degree, he took a two year pandemic-related hiatus where he expanded his lesson roster to over 40 students and began working with Newton Public Schools, playing piano and providing instructional assistance for seven choirs in the district. Since resuming his academics, he has continued to work with the award-winning choirs at Day Middle School, and he has recently stepped into the role of Music Director for Hawkapella, UML’s longest standing acapella group.    Danny has a very easygoing personality, and he prioritizes developing a love of music that keeps students motivated. In addition to a structured curriculum based around well known lesson books, he encourages students to learn any song they like, adapting it to their precise skill level. He often incorporates games and activities to reinforce concepts and prevent burnout. Lastly, he makes sure to give students a chance to express themselves through compositional and improvisational (jam) sessions.
