Lego Challenges: Ready, Set Le-Go!! - Lego Challenges: Ready, Set, Le-Go! (GR (K-5) If you love building with LEGOS, this is the class for you! Each week you will be challenged to create a sensational LEGO scene. Each challenge is a mystery that your teacher will reveal - A helicopter rescue scene? A space shuttle launch site? LEGO Godzilla attacking a city? Be ready for anything! Then it's off to the races as you and a partner have limited time to create your scene and present it to the class. Presentation skills will be key as you try to persuade your classmates that your LEGO creation is #1. Quilting: Beginning Embellishments NEW! - Quilting: Beginning Embellishments NEW! Learn several embellishing methods using threads, beads, lace, and other materials to enhance an article of clothing, decorative pillow cover, wall quilt/hanging, and more. Basic techniques will include embroidery, beadwork, layered fabrics, and applique. You will have the option of working on a specific item you bring to class, or work on a sample piece of fabric.Instructor can provide small packets of beading thread, assorted beads, buttons, lace and ribbons for $15. There will also be an option to pick through a selection of different floss colors and fabric pieces for applique for an additional $10. These options are for those who do not wish to invest in supplies while learning.Instructor: Melissa J. DawsonSince making her first quilt in 1995 Melissa has tried various techniques and styles, but regardless of technique, design or materials they all rely on understanding the basics of measuring, color and construction. Sewing - Sewing This class is based on your own individual project. The first class is held at Jo- Ann Fabrics in Westford, where you will receive help in choosing a pattern, fabric, and the supplies you will need for your project. In the following classes, you will learn how to measure correctly, read, adjust, cut out a pattern, and put it all together. Bringing your own sewing machine to class is required. Instructor: Therese Quinn.About Our Instructor:Therese Quinn has been sewing for the past 35 years, and has taught adult education for the past 16 years. She is experienced in making girl officer, crossing guard, and cheerleading uniforms. Terry also has experience in making and altering bridal gowns and wedding party dresses. Along with those, she makes custom drapes, English smocked dresses, and children’s clothing from christening dresses up to prom dresses.

She has extensive knowledge of computers and her focus is to help people to know how to use computers. Annette enjoys educating her students and helping them to not be afraid of computers. Annette is involved with the Billerica Garden Club as treasurer, The Friends of the Council on Aging in Billerica as recording secretary and also helps to coordinate the Billerica Health & Wellness Fair. She currently has her own computer consulting business. When she is not working on her business she loves gardening, crafts like xstitch, sewing, knitting and oil painting and taking care of her mother who is 98.
