This preschool program is filled with state-of-the-art materials for learning and for play designed to engage both 3 and 4-year olds. Lion’s Pride North will be open from 6:45a.m. - 4:45p.m. giving parents a great option for full-day learning and social development for their child. Located at Chelmsford High School in a double sized, newly renovated classroom and student bathrooms within the space. Our two-year rotating curriculum has been designed to meet the needs of the whole child, and to challenge all ages. It provides opportunities for increased exploration of motor skills, language, social development and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). We are introducing our students to FUNDATIONS phonics curriculum, Math Expressions curriculum, and Fountas & Pinnell literacy curriculum in coordination with Chelmsford Public Schools. We emphasize a positive, safe, fun learning environment that helps children build their independence.A unique benefit of Lion’s Pride North is that this classroom will be working with the CHS Early Childhood Growth and Development Classroom. Our younger students love the opportunity to learn from and play with their older high school role models.We offer care for children 3 years old as of September 1st up to children eligible to enter Chelmsford Public School Kindergarten. 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM	Easy Quilt Making - Easy Quilt Making Learn different patterns and techniques to make quilt blocks that can be put together for a table topper, wall hanging or the start of a bed quilt.  This class is for beginners and intermediate sewers.  Students have the options to bring a sewing machine to class, or hand sew during class and finish their work by machine at home.  Your first class will be held at a fabric store where you will pick out materials for your project.  You will receive a discount on purchases that evening.Instructor:  Melissa J. DawsonSince making her first quilt in 1995 Melissa has tried various techniques and styles, but regardless of technique, design or materials they all rely on understanding the basics of measuring, color and construction. This beginning class will introduce these basics and encourage students to expand them into their own unique sense of color and design.

In the first session, held at a local fabric store, you'll receive expert guidance in selecting a pattern, fabric, and the tools you'll need to bring your vision to life. From there, each class builds on essential skills including:- Taking accurate measurements- Reading and adjusting patterns- Cutting fabric with precision- Assembling and finishing your garment or item Bring your own sewing machine and get step-by-step support in a creative, encouraging environment. By the end of the course, you’ll not only have a completed project—but the confidence and skills to take on many more. Note: Students must bring their own sewing machines and purchase fabric and supplies after the first class. About Our Instructor:Therese Quinn has been sewing for the past 35 years, and has taught adult education for the past 16 years. She is experienced in making girl officer, crossing guard, and cheerleading uniforms. Terry also has experience in making and altering bridal gowns and wedding party dresses. Along with those, she makes custom drapes, English smocked dresses, and children’s clothing from christening dresses up to prom dresses.

DawsonSince making her first quilt in 1995 Melissa has tried various techniques and styles, but regardless of technique, design or materials they all rely on understanding the basics of measuring, color and construction. This beginning class will introduce these basics and encourage students to expand them into their own unique sense of color and design.

This preschool program is filled with state-of-the-art materials for learning and for play designed to engage both 3 and 4-year olds. Lion’s Pride North will be open from 6:45a.m. - 4:45p.m. giving parents a great option for full-day learning and social development for their child. Located at Chelmsford High School in a double sized, newly renovated classroom and student bathrooms within the space. Our two-year rotating curriculum has been designed to meet the needs of the whole child, and to challenge all ages. It provides opportunities for increased exploration of motor skills, language, social development and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). We are introducing our students to FUNDATIONS phonics curriculum, Math Expressions curriculum, and Fountas & Pinnell literacy curriculum in coordination with Chelmsford Public Schools.
