His teaching experience has consisted of private lessons for all ages, exam preparation, group piano classes, rock ensemble coaching, choir directing, theory tutoring and classroom instruction.    Over the course of his career, Danny has been the go-to pianist for several theater productions and churches in the Greater Boston area. While pursuing his degree, he took a two year pandemic-related hiatus where he expanded his lesson roster to over 40 students and began working with Newton Public Schools, playing piano and providing instructional assistance for seven choirs in the district. Since resuming his academics, he has continued to work with the award-winning choirs at Day Middle School, and he has recently stepped into the role of Music Director for Hawkapella, UML’s longest standing acapella group.    Danny has a very easygoing personality, and he prioritizes developing a love of music that keeps students motivated. In addition to a structured curriculum based around well known lesson books, he encourages students to learn any song they like, adapting it to their precise skill level. He often incorporates games and activities to reinforce concepts and prevent burnout. Lastly, he makes sure to give students a chance to express themselves through compositional and improvisational (jam) sessions. This has resulted in a high level of satisfaction among even his earliest beginners. Please remember to bring all required materials with you to your lesson.Use the link below to hear an example of Danny’s playing: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQK4QvTrENJWVYAy2DXwJRaRD7U-TtI5g
