Asian cooking is so delicious but many people don't make it at home because they think its complicated and expensive. Let Ina show you how to save money and impress your family and friends by preparing delicious Asian meals with ingredients from your local grocery store.
In this class, you will learn to make specialty recipes from the spice island Java, Indonesia including Bala-Bala (vegetarian fritters), Sambal Kacang (peanut sauce), Sate Ayam & Sapi (chicken and beet satay), Mie Bihun (sauteed shrimp and vegetables with ice noodles), Cendol (grass jelly and jackfruit dessert drink in coconut water).
NOTE: This class is a high-demand class. If spaces are full, remember to add yourself to the waitlist. If there is enough interest, a second class will be opened up.
About our Instructor:
Rina Saptaria, also known as “Ina” to her friends and family, was born and raised in Indonesia, a beautiful country in Southeast Asia with towering mountains, vast lakes, and extensive river systems. It was there that Ina first discovered her love of cooking and especially preparing the cuisine native to her country. After moving to the U.S. and starting her family, Ina spent time honing her craft teaching at several community education programs in the area. When her children began school, she created “Cooking Around the Globe”, an after-school program for the Andover Public Schools designed to teach children about and to prepare cuisine from other countries. It is her passion to share recipes from the East and show the community that you can make these elaborate dishes simply with ingredients sourced from your own local grocery store.
