The start of the New Year is a great time to set intentions and develop new sustainable routines to strengthen your body and mind. This course will introduce you to meditation and guide you in establishing and deepening your current practice. Courtney is a certified meditation instructor, and has completed extensive training at the Chopra Center. Through this course, you will discover what meditation is, how mantras can guide your practice, and ways you can incorporate a practice into your daily life. Each session will include breathwork, gentle stretching, guided meditation, and an offering of Reiki or sound healing.
Restorative yoga is the practice of asanas (the physical positions during yoga), each held for longer than in conventional yoga as exercise classes, often with the support of props such as folded blankets, to relax the body, reduce stress, and often to prepare for pranayama or breath regulation.
Restorative yoga deeply relaxes the body, stills a busy mind, releases muscular tension, improves mobility, flexibility, and the capacity for healing and balancing. You will find a better balance of the nervous system, boosts the immune system, and helps to develop qualities of compassion and understanding toward others and self.
Please come to class dressed in comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat and water bottle to class. Meditation pillow or blanket optional as well as yoga blocks.
About Our Instructor: Courtney Fine

Courtney’s classes will teach you the importance of self-care, while leaving you feeling deeply stretched and with increased strength both mentally and physically. She fosters a community feeling to her classes where everyone has a place and will feel safe and supported. Whether you are new to yoga/meditation or a seasoned practitioner, you will leave Courtney’s classes feeling supported and with something new to practice or think about both on and off the mat.
