Piano & Guitar
Offering 30-minute private piano, guitar, or Ukulele lessons with Anthony Mowbray. If you would like an hour-long lesson, please schedule back-to-back slots.

About our instructor:
Anthony Mowbray is a professional music teacher and performing musician with 25 years’ of teaching experience instructing students of all ages and skill levels from beginner to advanced. He earned his degree in Music Performance while studying under Violet Kfoury and continued his studies at Philips Academy with Duncan Cumming. Anthony structures his lessons with an emphasis on music reading and understanding rhythm. Recognizing that each student is unique, he encourages them to choose music they most enjoy while also assigning them pieces that will benefit and challenge them. He believes this approach not only keeps his students engaged, but also keeps the lessons fun and enjoyable. His passion for teaching has led several of his students to regional piano competitions and auditions for prestigious music festivals as well as teaching careers of their own. In addition to private lessons, he has taught and coached various ensembles including chamber music, piano duets and rock and pop groups.
 
As a skilled musician, Anthony has accompanied multiple choruses throughout his career and has performed alongside church choirs at several parishes. He has also provided music for numerous functions and events in the New England area. He is proficient in many styles of music but when at the piano, Anthony prefers playing classical works by the great composers. When not playing music, Anthony enjoys spending time reading and going to the gym.
