Summer Hula Hoop

Come have some fun hula hooping this summer where everything is all about the hoops!  You will learn some cool hoop dance moves as well as tricks, create some hoop-themed crafts, and play hoop-inspired games with your new friends.  Hope to see you there!!

Kids should come with their own water bottle, and wearing sun protection as needed.  Hoops will be provided to use during camp, but if families would like to buy their own, they can be purchased at I Dream Of Hoops:  https://idreamofhoops.com.co/ Use the code "healthyandblessed" and save 10 percent.  Beginner hoops should be measured at least as high as from the floor to the belly button when held vertically.

A little about hula hooping:
Hula Hoop fitness will improve coordination, increase flexibility and build core strength!  Your child or teen will experience the excitement of hoop dance through learning fun tricks on and off the body (or through learning fun truck in and out of the hoop)!  Modifications are available to accomodate any level student, from beginners to the advanced.

Please remember to wear typical workout gear, such as shorts, leggings, tank tops, and t-shirts.

This class will be in person in the field behind the Community Education Building (The Westland School, 170 Dalton Road).
