Mountain Biking

A 3-Day Mountain Biking camp for junior riders ranging from 7-13.  Our Kids Mountain Bike Camp will inspire exploration and confidence on two-wheels for young riders. This program is the ideal mix of fun, safety, and adventure where participants will learn valuable mountain biking skills in a supportive environment. Mountain Bike Camps’ team of experienced instructors will coach riders using their curriculum which has been developed for riding levels beginner through advanced. Each day of camp will start with a bike check (learning the different parts of the bike and ensuring safety) and then an off-the-bike yoga/stretching warm-up. Skills taught throughout camp focus on the fundamentals of mountain biking - body position, braking, shifting, and progress throughout the week. Concepts are delivered through a combination of skills and drills, games, and application rides, which will take place on the local trails. Participants will come away from this experience with a more comprehensive understanding of riding and handling a bike, which can be applied to neighborhood, bike path, or trail.

What type of bike does my kid need?
Your camper will need a properly functioning and safe bike with knobby tires, rim or disc hand brakes, and gears.  No training wheels are allowed and all bikes should go to a bike shop to be checked prior to the start of the program to assure they are acceptable for the program.

What safety equipment is required?
In addition to the bike requirements, helmets are required and cycling gloves are strongly recommended.  Safety is a top priority, so an equipment check will be performed at the beginning of class.  Kids who do not have safe equipment will not be permitted to attend that day.

Please remember to complete the KC & E Adventures waiver at: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5755a611c1880/web/ or by using the link below

We will provide a detailed checklist to ensure your bike is suitable prior to camp.  If you need any equipment or if you want to have your bike looked over, be sure to take it to your local shop.  Come adventure with us!
