We are going to have so much fun making a yule log known in France as Buche de Noel! We will bake, fill, roll, and frost a cake as a log. Then we will decorate it with holly and berries made from homemade marzipan, candied cranberries and other treats. Your masterpiece will look too good to eat - but take a picture and then enjoy with your family - it will surely be delicious!

About Our Instructor:
Evelyn's passion for French cooking began watching Julia Child on television. From there, Evelyn decided that the best place to learn would be to go to France, attend cooking classes, and immerse herself in the culture, which she continues to do for a portion of each year. Whether living in an apartment in Paris or a farmhouse in the South of France, she spends time cooking, enjoying local restaurants, shopping at markets, visiting wineries, olive orchards, cheese makers, goat farms, chocolatiers, and bakers. Evelyn bakes not only French breads, pastries and desserts, but savory dishes and meals as well. She has taught classes in Boston, Cambridge and Brookline but has found that offering virtual classes affords students the ability to practice in their own kitchen using their own tools and ingredients.
