French Macarons
From the famous Laudree on the Champs-Elysees to your kitchen, let's make the famous French delicacy, macarons!  It's time to demystify the macaron and learn the techniques on how to transform their simple ingredients of almond flour, sugar and egg whites into the delicate treats enjoyed throughout the world.  This course will demonstrate the various stages of making the macaron, filling them and decorating.  It will also include the recipes for some popular fillings such as lemon curd, butter creme, and raspberry jam.  Whether you watch or actively participate in this class, you will come away with the tools to create these delicacies in your own kitchen and enjoy a rewarding experience.

Instructor:  Evelyn Schichner

VIRTUAL CLASS DOES NOT INCLUDE COST OF FOOD & SUPPLIES. Recipes/list of ingredients will be emailed to registrants prior to class.

About Our Instructor:
Evelyn's passion for French cooking began watching Julia Child on television. From there, Evelyn decided that the best place to learn would be to go to France, attend cooking classes, and immerse herself in the culture, which she continues to do for a portion of each year.  Whether living in an apartment in Paris or a farmhouse in the South of France, she spends time cooking, enjoying local restaurants, shopping at markets, visiting wineries, olive orchards, cheese makers, goat farms, chocolatiers, and bakers.  Evelyn bakes not only French breads, pastries and desserts, but savory dishes and meals as well.  She has taught classes in Boston, Cambridge and Brookline but has found that offering virtual classes affords students the ability to practice in their own kitchen using their own tools and ingredients.
