Explore the world of chess! This class is for students who already know the rules of the game. Each class will begin with chess matches between students,  as well as tips on tactics and strategy.  Students will also have the opportunity to explore chess related puzzles and try variations on the game of chess like bughouse, monster chess and chess solitaire.  Instructor: Gwen Meins.

This is a three class program.

About Our Instructor:
Gwen Meins has been a chess instructor for over 25 years. She coached two Massachusetts Junior High State Championship winning teams. Gwen is a former United States Amateur Women’s Chess Champion. She has a B.A. in Child Development from Stonehill College and an M.Ed. in Special Education from Tufts University.
